WHY THE LONDON CLASSICS?
We created the London Classics in 2017 because we wanted to recognise and reward the growing band of very special participants who had completed our three toughest challenges: the London Marathon, the RideLondon 100 and the two-mile event at Swim Serpentine.
Everyone who completes the three events receives the magnificent London Classics medal, engraved with the words Et ego Londinium vici (I too have conquered London) and is listed in the Hall of Fame. More than 4,000 athletes have completed the treble – do you have what it takes to join them? Find out how to enter.
WHO ARE LONDON MARATHON EVENTS?
We are world-leading organisers of mass participation events, including:
Our company is not-for-profit and each year after costs we gift 100 per cent of the surplus from our events to The London Marathon Charitable Trust. Over the past four decades, The Trust has awarded in excess of £93 million to more than 1,470 projects that inspire activity across the UK.
That means when you take on the three events that make up the London Classics you are not just fulfilling an amazing feat of athleticism and endurance, you are also contributing to the health and wellbeing of the nation.
How to complete the London Classics
The events can be completed in any order over any time period. The London Classics medal is awarded to participants in a special area after the finish of their third event. In 2025, riders can substitute RideLondon for the 2025 Etape Loch Ness as part of their London Classics.
